Nodmobile Privacy Policy
Last Updated: July 2026
At Nodmobile, we believe in keeping you connected globally while keeping your personal data secure locally. We are committed to protecting your privacy and being fully transparent about how we handle your information.
This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, why we need it, and how we keep it safe under the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.
1. Who We Are
For the purposes of data protection law, Nodmobile is the "data controller". This means we are responsible for deciding how we hold and use personal information about you.
- Website: nodmobile.co.uk
- Contact Email: hello@nodmobile.co.uk
2. The Information We Collect
To get you connected, we only collect the information that is absolutely necessary. This includes:
- Identity & Contact Data: Your name and email address when you sign up or purchase a plan.
- Transaction Data: Details about the eSIM plans you purchase and your payment history (we use secure third-party payment processors and do not store your full credit card details on our servers).
- Technical Data: Your IP address, browser type, and device information (like checking if your phone is eSIM compatible).
- Service & Usage Data: Information regarding your eSIM activation, network connection status, and data volume consumed. We only track data volume - we absolutely cannot and do not monitor your web browsing history or what you do with your data.
3. How We Use Your Data & Our Lawful Basis
Under UK GDPR, we must have a valid legal reason to process your information. Here is how and why we use your data:
- To fulfill a Contract: We use your contact and transaction data to generate your eSIM profile, deliver it to your inbox, and provide network connectivity.
- For our Legitimate Interests: We use technical and usage data to troubleshoot network issues, provide customer support, and keep our website secure from fraud.
- To comply with Legal Obligations: We retain basic transaction records to comply with UK tax, accounting, and telecommunications laws.
- With your Consent: If you choose to subscribe to a waitlist or marketing emails, we will only contact you with your explicit permission. You can opt out at any time.
4. Who We Share Your Data With
We never sell your personal data. We only share information with trusted third parties to make our service work:
- Telecom & API Partners: To provision your eSIM on global networks and route your data.
- Payment Processors: To securely handle your transactions.
- Legal Authorities: If strictly required by law enforcement or UK regulatory bodies.
5. International Data Transfers
Because Nodmobile provides global travel data, your connectivity information may be processed by mobile networks operating outside of the UK. Whenever we transfer your personal data out of the UK, we ensure a similar degree of protection is afforded to it by implementing safeguards approved under UK GDPR.
6. Data Retention
We will only retain your personal data for as long as reasonably necessary to fulfill the purposes we collected it for. Once your data is no longer needed for service delivery, legal, or accounting purposes, we securely delete or anonymize it.
7. Your Rights Under UK GDPR
You are completely in control of your data. Under UK data protection laws, you have the right to:
- Request access to the personal data we hold about you.
- Request corrections to any incomplete or inaccurate data.
- Request erasure of your personal data (the "right to be forgotten").
- Object to or restrict the processing of your data.
- Request a transfer of your data to yourself or a third party.
8. Cookies
Our website uses minimal, essential cookies to function correctly and securely process your orders. We may also use analytics cookies to understand how visitors interact with our site, but you will always have the option to accept or reject non-essential cookies via our cookie banner.
9. Get in Touch & Complaints
If you have any questions about this policy or want to exercise your data rights, please reach out to us at hello@nodmobile.co.uk.
